MINIMUM WAGE: NLC STATE CHAIRMEN TO COMMENCE MEETINGS ON TUESDAY

Days  after the conclusion of dialogues between the organized labour and federal government , the state chairmen of Nigeria Labour Congress will meet on Tuesday in Enugu to discuss negotiation techniques on adjustment of the new minimum wage with various state governments.
 The Chairman of the Kwara State NLC , Issa Ore who disclosed this said,  the meeting  is expected to produce guidelines for negotiations of the minimum wage adjustments in various states. .
 His colleague in Enugu State ,Viginus Nwobodo also disclose that the state will hosting the 36 state chairmen of the NLC in Enugu on the minimum wage adjustments as related to respective states ; after which negotiations will start with the state government .
While the Kaduna State Government began the implementation of the new minimum wage in September, others said they were awaiting the just concluded negotiations at the federal level.
 The minimum wage agreement was reached 182 days after President Muhammadu Buhari signed the bill into law.
