The federal executive council has approved an additional increase for Nigeria holding at the international Bank of reconstruction a d development. IBRD
Prior to this, Nigeria held 16,187shares at the IBRD, but after a capital increase was adopted last October 2018, an additional allocation of 3,230,shares was allocated to Nigeria both for general and selected capital increases.
The total value of the shares is in the sum of 50.6million US dollars.
This additional subscription has become necessary to strengthen the country’s position and enhance her voice in the global architecture.
