COVID 19: PTF PROMISES BETTER WELFARE FOR FRONTLINE HEALTH WORKERS

The federal government is set to address the issue of welfare allowances for frontline health workers  and provision of Personal Protective Equipment.
The minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, said this during  the Presidential Tasks Force press briefing on Thursday 11, June 2020.
He said the body is working with labour and House of Representatives led by Hon. Speaker  ,Femi Gbajabiamila to address  issues raised by young doctors.
‘We have dialogue with agencies , Ministries and other Federal Government Health Related Associations to address the issues on welfare allowances for frontline workers and PPE.
I am confident that our resident doctors will understand and reciprocate these efforts.’ said he.
 Ehanire added,  that the reforms for the operationalization of the basic Healthcare Provision Fund will soon be ready and will be revealed after it has been presented to the stakeholders
