The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 587 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 17,735.
This was revealed by NCDC on Wednesday, June 17 via its official Twitter handle.
Lagos recorded the highest number of new cases with 155 infections,Edo-75, FCT -67 ,Rivers-65, Oyo-56, Delta- 50,Bayelsa -25, Plateau and Kaduna 18 cases each.
Other states with new infections are Enugu -17, Borno- 12, Ogun- 12 , Ondo- 7 , Kwara – 4 , Kano and Gombe recorded 2 cases each while Sokoto and Kebbi recorded one case each.
The total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is now 17,735 with 5,967 recoveries and 469 deaths.
