
The Federal Government has announced the re-opening of schools for graduating students in secondary schools across the country.
The Presidential Task force chairman, Boss Mustapha announced this during a briefing today in Abuja . He said critical and revision classes for Primary 6, JSS 3 and SS 3 students would resume to prepare them for their graduating examinations but students in other classes are not allowed to resume.
Chairman of the PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mustapha, also said the students will be made to put on face masks compulsorily and observe all other protocols.
Another issue addressed by the federal government is the interstate lockdown in the country. After accessing the extent of COVID-19 spread in Nigeria, the federal government also lifted the ban on interstate movement and local flights.
The chairman of the presidential task force on COVID-19 Boss Mustapha during the daily briefing said that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the extension of the phased lockdown for four weeks. He further said that the interstate movements would only take place outside curfew hours with effect from 1st July, 2020.
