President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law the N10.8 trillion amended 2020 budget.
The document was signed at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villaon Friday, July 10.
Buhari noted that alteration of the budget was necessary because of the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the nation’s economy.
He explained that ministries, departments and agencies will receive 15 percent of their allocations by month’s end.
The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan and his counterpart at the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila were present at the signing of the budget.
Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, were also present.
