COVID-19: NIGERIA’S TOLL HITS 33,454


Six hundred new Covid19 infections have been confirmed in Nigeria.


The National Centre for Disease Control in an official tweet on Friday 17th July, says Lagos has 129 cases, followed by FCT-118, Oyo-87, Kano-55, Benue-42, Enugu-35, Kwara-28, Imo-16.

Other states with new cases are Ogun-13, Kaduna-12, Ondo-12, Delta-11, Edo-11, Plateau-8, Nasarawa-6, Ekiti-6, Niger-6, Gombe-3, while Borno and Abia have 4 cases each.


Since the index case recorded in February 2020, mortality rate has risen to 772, with a total of 33,454 confirmed Covid-19 infections, while 14,633 have fully recovered.
