The number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Nigeria has increased with 593 new cases bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 50,488.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed this via its official twitter page on Wednesday August 19.
The agency said 186 cases were recorded in Plateeau, Lagos -172 , FCT – 62, Oyo-27, Delta-25, Rivers – 20 , Ondo – 19 , Edo -18 , Kaduna -17 and Enugu-12.
Other states with new cases are Akwa -Ibom-10, Ogun- 7 , Abia -6 , Gombe -6 , Kano -3 and Osun-3.
The number of Covid-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria now stands at 50,488 with 37,304 persons discharged and 985 deaths.
