COVID-19: NIGERIA’S DEATH TOLL NOW 992

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC has confirmed 476 new cases of the covid-19 as the death toll rises to 992.
The figure, announced by the agency on August 20 brings the total number of infections in the country to 50,964.
Lagos recorded the highest number of confirmed case with 235 new infections, FCT-44, Kaduna-41, Borno-33, Plateau- 28, Abia-13, Edo-13, Rivers-12, Imo-11, Oyo-10, Kano-9 and Kwara-7.
 
Other confirmed cases include Enugu -5, Katsina-5, Gombe-4, Ogun-4, Nasarawa and Zamfara  1 case each.
This record brings the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in the country to 50,964 with 37,569 persons discharged and 992 cases of death.
