The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC has confirmed 601 fresh cases of covid-19 in the country.
The figure, announced by the agency on August 22 through its official twitter handle brings the total number of infections in the country to 51,905.
Lagos recorded 404, FCT – 37, Oyo-19, Ondo-14, Abia-13, Enugu-13, Kaduna-13, Edo-12, Kano- 12, Kwara-11 and Ebonyi-10.
Other states include Nasarawa -7, Ogun-6, Osun, Delta and Niger 5 cases each, Plateau and Bayelsa 4 cases each, Katsina-3 , Ekiti and Imo recorded 2 cases each.
This record brings the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in the country to 51,905 with 38,767 persons discharged and 997 cases of death.
