
Nigeria has recorded 296 more cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 53,317.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said this in its report on Thursday, 27 August via its official twitter handle .
According to the agency, Plateau has the highest toll with 85 new cases, Enugu-46, Oyo-31, Lagos -21, Rivers- 20, FCT-15, Kaduna-13, Bauchi-12, Delta-11, Ekiti-11, Akwa- Ibom-7.
Also recorded were Ebonyi-6 , Kwara-5, Ogun-4 , Osun- 4, Gombe-3 and Niger-2.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country is now 53,317 with 40,726 people discharged and 1,011 deaths.
