The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC has confirmed 216 fresh cases of covid-19 in the country.
This recent figure, announced by the agency on September 2 through its official twitter handle brings the total number of infections in the country to 54,463.
Plateau recorded 59 cases, Rivers- 27, Abia- 22, Lagos – 20, Kaduna-11, FCT-11, Ogun-10, Ebonyi-4, Osun-4and Ekiti-4.
Other states include Delta- 3, Edo-3, Akwa Ibom -2 and Bauchi- 1.
This record brings the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in the country to 54,463 with 42,439 persons discharged and 1,027 cases of death.
