
The Lagos State government has approved the the reopening of cinemas and gyms. The Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave the approval during a press briefing of Saturday, September 19. He said necessary safety measures must be followed.
According to him bars, night clubs, event centres remain closed until October when the government will make pronouncement concerning their opening.
The governor said cinemas and gyms are to operate at 33 per cent capacity which is one third of their capacity.
“Their resumption is only at 33 per cent of their capacity, meaning its only one-third capacity that you have at the various cinemas, you must leave two seats invented,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The Governor also approved the full reopening of worship centres in the state.According to him, mosques can now hold their prayers five times daily while churches can also commence weekly services.
He warned that the safety protocols released by the government must be strictly adhered to.
