The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria has increased to 59,001 with 153 new cases recorded on October 1st.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said this via its twitter handle.Lagos recorded the highest number with 81 fresh cases, Rivers-21, FCT – 11, Ogun -8, Kaduna-7, Oyo-6, Akwa – Ibom – 5, Osun – 3, Katsina – 3, Edo – 2, Ebonyi – 2, Nasarawa – 2, Plateau – 1 and Kano – 1.
The number of covid-19 discharged cases in the country now stands at 50,452 with 1,112 fatalities.
