
Nigeria Former Finance minister, Okonjo Iweala has been nominated by the WTO members as one of the candidates to advance to the final round in the race to lead the Geneva-based trade body, World Trade Organisation. The candidates who made it to the finals are Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and South Korea’s Yoo Myung-hee.WTO General Council Chairman David Walker will formally announce the results to the institution’s delegates today in Geneva.Other contestants who couldn’t make it to the finals are United Kingdom’s Liam Fox, Kenya’s Amina Jibril, and Saudi Arabia’s Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri.
