
The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives’ Congress, Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared the winner of the Ondo State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission after polling a high 292,830 votes.
The final result was disclosed by the election Returning Officer, Prof Idowu Olayinka at the INEC headquarters in Akure.
According to Prof Idowu, the candidate of the People Democratic Party , Eyitayo was the 1st runner up having polled 195,791 votes while Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) was in a distant third having garnered 69,127 votes.
