The total number of covid-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 61,194 with 212 new cases recorded on October 16.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, new cases were recorded in 8 states.
Lagos recorded 85 new cases, Oyo – 72, FCT – 21, Plateau – 11, Ogun – 11,Katsina – 6,Kaduna – 5 and Osun-1.
Total tests carried out in the country now stands at 572,705. The number of Covid-19 discharged patients is now 52,304 with 1,119 cases of death.
