The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC has confirmed 1,624 fresh cases of covid-19 in the country.
The figure, announced by the agency on February 5 through its official twitter handle brings the total number of infections in the country to 137, 654.
According to the agency, the new cases were recorded from 23 states.
Lagos recorded 535 cases, Plateau- 183,Osun – 98, Akwa-Ibom- 85, FCT – 83, Ondo – 77, Nasarrawa- 72, Edo – 69, Oyo – 63, Rivers – 52, Taraba – 48, Ogun- 44, Borno – 31, Kwara – 31, Ekiti – 30, Benue – 25 and Kano – 21.
Other affected states are Niger – 21, Kaduna-18, Abia-15, Delta – 10, Bayelsa- 7 and Zamfara – 6.
The number of discharged covid-19 patients now stands at 111,639 with 1,641 cases of death.
