A Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court sitting in the Ikeja, Lagos has released on bail Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha in the sum of N2 Million with two sureties.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo , on Thursday ruled that one of the sureties must be a blood relative of the defendant and the other, a legal practitioner.
She said: “The freedom is temporary in the sense that it lasts only for the period of trial.
The blood relation, who must provide proof of relationship with the applicant, must reside in Lagos State and present evidence of paid income tax in the State for three years.
The second surety, who must be a legal practitioner, must present evidence of the bar and swron affidavit.
The actor has one week to fulfil the terms of the bail conditions .
Baba Ijesha was arrested on charges sexual assualt , molestation and attempted rape of an underage girl. He has been in detention since 22nd of April,2021.
The matter was adjourned to the 27th of July.
