The bandits who attacked Bethel Baptist Secondary School, Kaduna have contacted the management of the school confirming abduction of 121 students in their custody.
This was disclosed to the management of the school headed by Rev. Ishaya Adamu Jangado.
The bandits are yet to request any Ransome, even though they contacted the school confirming the abduction. Some selected pupils were allowed to speak to the school authority.
Rev jangado on Monday, disclosed that the incident happened so fast, while applauding the security agencies for responding swiftly to their distress call.
Two soldiers lost their lives as a result of combating the bandits who were already on their way out of the school premises.
He explained that the school has 154 students in the school hostel, out of which only 28 were recovered in the process of the soldiers attack on the bandits, adding that some of the students were able to play a fast one on the bandits hid in many places, while others escaped.
He said the missing 121 students match the school data having counted the recovered pupils.
The principal said, government has been kept abreast of the situation and efforts are on to rescue the missing students.
Meanwhile, the bandits reportedly asked for food items such as rice, beans, seasoning and oil to feed the students.
