UNILAG STUDENT DENIES KILLING SUPER TV CEO

The 21-year-old student of the University of Lagos, Chidinma Ojukwu has denied killing Usifo Ataga, Super TV CEO, a few weeks after claiming responsibility for his death.

Chidinma who confessed to stabbing Ataga has made a U turn saying that she admitted to killing Ataga at the time because of pressure and the fact that nobody believed her.

She claimed that she had met the deceased in a pool of his own blood when she returned from where she had gone to get food and drugs for the pair.

Chidinma alleged that the fear of being arrested by the police informed her decision not to report the incident before she left the apartment for her house.

She alleged that someone would have entered the apartment and killed Ataga after she went out to buy the stuff.

In addition, she said the money withdrawn from Ataga’s account was the money he promised her before his death.

The Lagos police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu who described her new stance as an afterthought said the command will leave no stone unturned to unravel the actual circumstances that led to Ataga’s death and bring those behind his murder to book.
