Armed policemen have stopped protests by agitators calling for the release of Sunday Igboho.
The agitators marched to Soka Bus Stop along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway where they clamoured and demanded the immediate release of Sunday Igboho.
They charged Yoruba leaders and the international community with the responsibility of fighting for Igboho’s release.
According to a witness, the agitators warned the Federal Government not to murder Igboho the way Chief MKO Abiola was allegedly murdered.
One of the residents in the area, said the protest started at about 1.50pm.
According to him, “The policemen came in about four patrol vans and a car. They shot in the air and chased away the protesters.”
Another resident, said the protesters marched towards Challenge Area after spending some minutes at the bus stop.
