Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba has named former Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Commander Tunji Disu as the head of Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
This is after the suspension of IRT former boss, Abba Kyari.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigerian Police Force, Frank Mba made this known in a press release describing the appointment as a decision geared towards strengthening IRT.
Hushpuppi had alleged that Kyari accepted an N8 million bribe to arrest and jail his rival Vincent Chibuzo following a dispute over a $575,000 scam on Qatari businesspeople. Kyari, however, denied any criminal involvement with Hushpuppi .
