GANI FAWEHINMI’S SON DIES AT 52

Chief Gani Fawehinmi’s first son, Muhammed is dead. He died at the age of 52.
He was said to have  complained about difficulty in breathing before being rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he was pronounced dead. Muhammed was born on February 21, 1969. He attended Kotun Memorial School, Surulere, Lagos, and his secondary education at Federal Government College, Sokoto. 

He proceeded to the University of Lagos where he had his Degree in Business Administration and later obtained LLB degree from the University of Buckingham, England, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1998.  


Until his death, Muhammed headed his Father’s Chambers, he was also the Director Nigerian Law Publications Limited; Director, Books Industries Nigeria Limited, and the Director, Gani Fawehinmi Library & Gallery Limited. 


He sustained injuries on September 23, 2003, in a lone car accident which led to the use of a wheelchair


At a recent public gathering, Muhammed spoke about his life tragedy which derailed him a little bit having a huge impact on his career, one of the main reasons he was unmarried till his death and facing stigmatisation from the public on health grounds. 

In an interview in 2018, the deceased, said he was not in a relationship with anyone, because of his predicament and how he was received in the public. Although he said some ladies loved to be around him, he noted that he doesn’t want to be in a relationship out of pity.

He also evaluated the female gender as one not being able to do without parties as such he wanted someone who would always be around with him. Muhammed noted.
