KIDNAPPERS ABDUCT STUDENTS,TEACHERS IN ZAMFARA GOVERNOR’S HOMETOWN

Kidnappers have abducted 100 students and teachers in the hometown of Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, Maradun Local Government Area.

A witness said the bandits attacked a Government Day Secondary School in Kaya around 11 am when classes were in progress.

“As soon as they entered the school they began to shoot indiscriminately and kidnapped over 100 students and dozens of teachers on the spot.

“As I am talking to you now, we can not ascertain how many students both male and female and their teachers were kidnapped during the attack but we saw over 100 students including some of their teachers were chased by the Bandits to an unknown destination,” he said.

The state authorities and police force are yet to confirm the incident.

Reports have it that a prayer session concerning State’s insecurity issues was being held at Emir Gusau’s palace with the state Governor in attendance.
