OPEN GRAZING: BUHARI CREATING PROBLEMS FOR STATE GOVS- FALANA

Femi Falana, a leading human rights activist has once again advised President Muhammadu Buhari to desist from  creating problems for state governors.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN gave the advice at a gathering in Abuja. He said the state governors must be allowed to man their state, adding that interference from the Federal government on open grazing will do more harm than good, he also advised the presidency against reopening grazing routes.
Falana disapproved of the President’s decision to approve money for ranching in Katsina state stating that the issue of armed herders can be tackled through scientific means.
Falana buttressed on finding a lasting solution to the issue of armed herders killings. He noted that even Governors are on security alert as most northern States have placed a ban on interstate cattle movement as against the President’s decision of giving money for ranching in Katsina state.
