Suspected brand of Amphetamine meant for insurgents’ camps in Nigeria have been uncovered by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa.
Marwa who gave an update on the illicit drugs brought into the country from Lebanon said the items were intercepted at Apapa Port terminal with goods worth N6 billion.
Marwa revealed that the operation was led by the Apapa Port Area Commander, Samuel Gadzama, stressing that all hands must be on deck to put an end to inflow of illicit substances into the country especially at a time Nigeria is going through a lot of security issues.
Marwa said the reality of the arrest made on the suspects was as a result of the Intel received on the consignment, which kept every staff on their toes in ensuring that the consignment is not dispersed into the country considering the harmful effects it would have on the society at large.
