The Lagos State House of Assembly has passed anti- open grazing bill and a bill to boost Value Added Tax VAT collection in the state.
The hallowed chamber passed the two bills on Thursday.
The two bills were passed after unanimous votes by the lawmakers at the sitting where the bills were read the third time.
The anti-open grazing law among others prescribed a 21 jail term for herders engaged in open grazing in the state.
The Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa directed the Acting Clerk of the House, Olalekan Onafeko, to transmit a clean copy of the bill to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for assent.
Obasa commended the commitment of the hallowed chamber in ensuring continuous growth in Lagos state.
