The chairman of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa collapsed at an event in the presidential villa, Abuja on Thursday morning and was rushed to the hospital.
Bawa was delivering a speech when he stopped talking and was helped to his seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami and other senior officials at the event, but the EFCC chairman slumped on his seat, he was immediately rushed out.
Bawa had stopped talking and covered his face with his right palm, saying, “Please, excuse me, I can’t continue.”
Bawa was speaking on the prevalent crimes in the country before the incident.
