The wife of the Lagos state commissioner for the Environment and Professor of Medicine, Mrs Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello has emerged the ninth substantive Vice-Chancellor for the Lagos State University( LASU), Ojo.
Her selection was announced by the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu after many months of tussle for the position.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed the appointment in a press release.
According to him, the appointment of Professor Olatunji-Bello was based on the recommendation by the Joint Committee of Council and Senate of LASU in accordance with the LASU Law, Cap 169 Vol 7, Laws of Lagos State.
She was recommended for the position alongside two other candidates, Professor Omotayo Awofolu and Professor Senapon Bakare.
