The Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has signed the anti – open grazing bill into law.
Sanwo- Olu assented the bill on Monday, thereby directing security operatives to arrest defaulters adding that it is now an offence to rear cattle in unapproved areas and private land within the state.
After a public hearing and a third reading, the Lagos state lawmakers through unanimous votes approved the “anti-open grazing of livestock” bill.
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon.Mudashiru Obasa had directed the Acting Clerk of the House,Olalekan Onafeko to transmit a clean copy to Governor Sanwo – Olu for assent .
