Federal High Court, Lagos Division, has ordered the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) to take over the mansion belonging to the former two-term governor of Kwara State , Abdulfatah Ahmed due to his indebtedness of about N5 billion.
Justice A. M. Liman gave the ruling on Wednesday in Lagos.
According to Ahmed, the dispute was based on a margin loan he secured from Intercontinental Bank and Finbank in 2009 which was then lumped with unrelated loans .
Alhaji Ahmed said he was in talks with AMCON to separate the liabilities.
