President Muhammadu Buhari has launched Nigeria’s digital currency , e- naira.
The digital currency was lauhched today at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The e-naira which was earlier billed to be unveiled on October 1 is the first digital currency in Africa.
According to the Central Bank of Nigeria, the e-Naira will advance the boundaries of payments system and make financial transactions easier.
