The United States government is set to restrict foreign travellers who are yet to be vaccinated from entering the country beginning from November 8.
According to the statement by the United States Centre for Disease Control , travellers will be required to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination status before boarding a plane to the US.
Vaccines to be accepted include those approved by the Food and Drugs Administration as well as vaccines with an emergency use listing from the World Health Organisation.
The agency however noted that unvaccinated travellers will need to show proof of a negative test within one calendar day of travel to the United States.
