The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the indefinite suspension of the General Manager of Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA , Gbolahan Oki over the collapsed 21- Storey building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi. He assured that the government will investigate what went wrong and ensure that those indicted are brought to book.
The Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, during his visit to the scene revealed that the Lagos State Government is setting up an independent panel to probe the collapse of the 21-storey building.
Meanwhile, 9 persons have been rescued and are presently receiving treatment while 14 persons were pulled out of the rubbles dead.
