Boko Haram terrorists have invaded the Gaidam Local Government area of Yobe state and razed a technical college.
The incident which occurred in the late hours of Wednesday was confirmed by the council chairman of Gaidam, Ali Kolo .
He further confirmed that the insurgents killed no less than 10 persons jand also invaded other parts of the council destroying properties worth millions of naira.
He said: “Based on the information at my disposal, Boko Haram has so far killed, invaded Gaidam and razed down some structures including Technical College when I am in Saudi Arabia for the lesser hajj.
Reports also have it that a set of twin brothers were among the victims with one of them losing his life while the other is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital .
“I also gathered that twin brothers were among victims of the casualty.”
Multiple sources anonymously disclosed that the terrorists gained entrance into the town on foot plying different routes and caused bloodshed after setting ablaze the Technical college.
According to the local government chairman , efforts are already in place to get in contact with appropriate security outfits.
