A total of 53 passengers on board of Dana Airline Aircraft have escaped death after a planned trip out of Rivers State was cancelled after fire gutted the aircraft’s tyres.
Reacting to the incident, the spokesman of Dana Air, Kingsley Ezenwa confirmed that everyone on board are safe and sound with no injuries.
According to him, the pilot in charge raised an alarm when he noticed an anomaly with the system which enabled the Air Traffic Control’s swift action in rescuing everyone on board.
The management board of Dana Airline has since tendered an unreserved apology to the passengers over the flight mishap and the inconveniences caused due to eventual cancellation of their flight.
