A bomb explosion is suspected to have occurred on Tuesday about 9pm in Jalingo , the capital of Taraba State.
The bomb blast happened very close to the military base situated in Jalingo metropolis.
According to a credible source , the explosive was thrown into the military camp by a pedestrian.
The incident was confirmed by the state police command through its Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Usman Abdullahi, who disclosed to a news correspondent that he heard the blast, but couldn’t confirm any casualties .
The blast is the third in recent time to have rocked the capital after a not so dissimilar incident occurred in Iware community in Ardo-Kola council that led to massive destruction of lives and property.
Another explosion occurred in the Nukkai area of Jalingo city last month.
As at the time of the filing of this report , no injuries have been confirmed .
