The Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ban use of commercial motorcycles, Okada indefinitely in six local governments of the state.
The directive was issued on Wednesday at a conference with all Divisional Police Officers and Area Commanders across the state held at the Lagos House, Ikeja.
He instructed the State Police Command and other security agencies to enforce the ban.
The affected local governments are Ikeja, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island, and Apapa.
The decision is coming after the unfortunate incident that led to a mob of okada riders lynching one David Imoh in Lekki on May 12, 2022.
