WOMAN KILLED WITH HER FOUR CHILDREN WAS NINE MONTHS PREGNANT

A pregnant mother of four,   Harira Jubril ,  was allegedly killed by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra on Sunday .

The husband of the pregnant woman who was murdered along with her four children , Ahmad Jubril said he is still in utter disbelief and depression over the incident .

According to Ahmad , his wife was 9 months pregnant and was due for delivery in a few days , adding that unidentified gunmen invaded their home and opened fire on them, killing her and the four children.

“Fatima, the eldest, was 9 years old followed by her sister Aisha, 7years, Hadiza, 5 years and Zaituna, 2 years old,” Ahmad disclosed.

The mourning widower has called on the state government to do something about the killing .

The spokesperson for the Anambra Police Command , DSP, Ikenga Tochukwu , who confirmed the incident said a thorough investigation has begun to fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act , adding that they will face the full wrath of the law.\

The Northern Elders Forum and the Arewa Consultative Forum have condemned the extra judicial killings of northerners in the state calling on the authorities to act swiftly before chaos ensued

The district Chirstian Association of Nigeria also frowned at the incident.

The Governor of Anambra State , Charles Soludo , who condemned the killing , debunked claims that northerners are being targeted by the gunmen in the state ,describing the situation as a general security issue.

He however disclosed through his Chief Press Secretary ,Christian Aburime, on Wednesday , that the perpetrators are currently being hunted and will be dealt with once caught .

He said, “No group or individual is justified to harass, attack or kill any citizen of Nigeria or anyone resident in Nigeria under any guise whatsoever unless in lawful execution of a court sentence.”
He reassured all Nigerians living or doing business in Anambra, of the resolve of the state government to ensure adequate protection of their lives and properties at all times.
