KWARA REOPENS BAPTIST SCHOOL SHUT OVER HIJAB CRISIS

Students of Oyun Baptist High school heaved a sigh of relief on Wednesday, June 1st after the Kwara state Government instructed the school authorities to commence academic activities. 

The Kwara state government closed down the school over a bloody Hijab controversy three months ago. 

In a statement, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs. Mary Adeosun, said the ministry “wishes to announce the reopening of Oyun Baptist High School, Ijagbo from Friday, June 3, 2022.

There is still an ongoing investigation to ascertain the recent disturbance in the public school. Meanwhile teachers and pupils have been told to commence academic activities with a white paper Committee put in place to find the cause of the anomaly.
