OBASEKI DUMPS APC, SEEKS ANOTHER PLATFORM FOR SECOND TERM

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has formally announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) after days of speculations on whether he will do so.

Obaseki announced this on Tuesday morning in Abuja shortly after a private meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at Presidential Villa.

He disclosed that he will pursue his Second Term ambition on another platform, adding that he is still consulting with top politicians especially in his home State to get their consent and backing before announcing the party he will use its platform to contest the next Edo governorship election.

 The APC had last week disqualified the incumbent Governor   from participating in the Edo state Governorship Primary Election billed for June 22.
